The miniscule dot that the fans have discovered on our page is only a test form, it is not connected to our SSL yet and that they should not under any circumstances put the cc details on it as we are unsure where it will end up. It has no security yet as that is what we are testing. This is only meant for our protocol testing purposes and if we wanted them to use it we would have used a join now button or something similar.

I have wondered about that but I haven't done it myself cos first of all there are important real transactions which haven't gone through yet....like concert tickets! And also I have no other card I can use and can't get another one (my finincial situation is not good although atm even though my credit history is fine)....I am just going to have to wait and hope, I think. *sigh*

I don't know about you guys but for a minute I was about to blow my fuse when I read this fan club statement. Nitwits!!! This set me back 20.5 EUR. And if that weren't enough I found out that I should have re-ordered the new one somewhere else, but I cannot cancel the order.

Well I am not mad at the fanclub, they are only just setting it up after all and it's not run by the same people as the SG one - so it might all be new to them. But whoever is setting up the payments etc must be mad to test something like that using a page that hundreds of obsessed fans have just been told to keep an eye on cos it will be up and running soon! I am assuming a communications breakdown....eg maybe the fanclub people didn't realise it was going to be tested on there, and the people sorting out the secure server didn't know we already know about the page...that sort of thing.

I mean, I help a friend test his websites before they go live. But to test them, they obviously have to be live - just not using a publicised URL! But anyone I chose to send the link to could get on there if I so desired...I just don't do that for obvious reasons. So I can see what might have happened...I just hope no one suffers significantly because of it.

I am one of those overzealous freaks who signed up yesterday!

Whatever, they just underestimated that anyone would find it and that we all are in communication constantly.

I am not going to cancel my card, but I hope the russian mafia doesn't get their hands on the number...
